The city's first ever outdoor court is now open for play on the Lower East Side.

It was installed on one of the handball courts at Hamilton Fish Park.

The court's glass walls are more than 18 feet tall, and its elastic floor has special drainage capabilities for when it rains.

The group Public Squash helped make it a reality.

"It was a sunny day. We said why aren't we playing outside. We realized that the sport really suffered from accessibility and visibility, so we pretty much three years ago decided to make this happen. And with a lot of help from a lot of people, here we are today," said Public Squash Director Ryan Wall.

Better get on the court while you can because it will be taken down in October.

It's first come first serve to play.
