New Yorkers were quick to take advantage of the warm spring weather Friday.

The high temperature in Manhattan hit 81 degrees.

It's the first time the city has seen such temperatures since October.

In Central Park, many people were getting in a run or playing with their four legged friends before starting the day.

Others were just simply soaking it all in, happy that spring has finally made its arrival.

"Cold weather does not do it for me, this is a relief. Looking forward to spring, spring is here it has sprung. It's wonderful," said one New Yorker.

"It's beautiful," said a jogger. "It was great, it was great, I have to go to work. If not I would have jogged more for sure."

The spring warmth continues Saturday with a mix of sun clouds and a high of 75 degrees.

Cooler temperatures return Sunday and Monday along with rain.

Temperatures will remain a few degrees below normal through Thursday of next week.
