A funeral was held Wednesday for the three-year-old girl allegedly killed by her stepfather last week in Queens.

Friends and family gathered at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Arverne to say goodbye to Bella Edwards.

Edwards was found beaten to death inside her family's apartment in Rockaway Park last Monday, police said.

The city medical examiner said she died from blunt force injuries to her abdomen. Her death has been ruled as a homicide.

Police sources say there were also signs of sexual abuse.

"You never really know what goes on in somebody's home, but you have to pray for the family and keep it in God's hands," said one person who attended the funeral. "No mother deserves to bury her child. Not at all, not at all. It's sad."

Edwards's stepfather, Mark Jenkins, is facing murder and assault charges in connection to her death.

He faces 25 years to life in prison if convicted.

His next court date is May 11.
