A man was found dead at the scene of a fire at a three-story building in the Bronx on Monday night, according to the city fire department.

FDNY officials said they received a 911 call around 11:30 p.m. on the fire at a three-story building on Freeman St. near East 169th St.

60 firefighters got the blaze under control by midnight.

The FNDY said the 35-year-old victim was dead when firefighters arrived at the scene. The city police department said he was found on the building's first floor.

As of the time of this writing, the victim's identity has not been released, and the cause of the fire has not been determined.

The fire happened less than half-a-mile from a two-alarm fire at a house on 1318 Franklin Ave. near East 169th St.

That fire was under control around 5 p.m. Monday. No injuries were reported, and the house was vacant.
