An employee from the mayor's office was arrested Saturday night on weapons charges in Queens.

Reagan Stevens, 42, works as the Deputy Director of Youth and Strategic Initiatives at the Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice, where she primarily has worked on implementing "Raise the Age," which raises the age of accountability for juveniles in criminal cases.

Sources tell NY1 that city police responded Saturday night to a ShotSpotter senor notification of a gun going off at 177th St. and 106th Ave. in Jamaica when they found what they called a suspicious car.

When officers searched the vehicle, they found a loaded handgun on the floor, according to sources.

Police arrested Stevens and charged her with Criminal Possession of a Weapon.

Sources said two other people who were in the car — 24-year-old Montes Hughes and 25-year-old Cesar Forbes, who owns the car — with Stevens were also arrested, and it is not clear who owned the gun.
