New Yorkers will want to brace themselves for what's expected to be a blustery Wednesday.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for all five boroughs until 12 a.m. Friday.

A few strong thunderstorms are expected to make their way into the city Wednesday.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible.

Temperatures will drop from the 60s to the 50s.

Strong winds will be capable of blowing down limbs, trees, and power lines.

Isolated to scattered power outages are possible.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles, in open areas, and on elevated roads and bridges.

Drivers are urged to use extra caution.
