Police have identified a person of interest in connection with the murder of a man in the Bronx.

Police say back on February 21, 35-year-old Philip Roseburgh was beaten by at least two people in front of his building on Garden Street near Prospect Avenue in Belmont.

They had orginally arrested 19-year-old Ceasar Johnson earlier this month.

But last week, NY1 exclusively found out that he was released because prosecutors didn't have enough evidence to hold him.

Sources say Roseburgh had argued with the pair because they were selling drugs near his building and then attacked him.

Police say Roseburgh hit his head on the pavement and was knocked unconscious.

He died five days later.
