The latest Quinnipiac University poll shows just 48 percent of New York City voters think the mayor is doing a good job.

Thirty-eight percent disapprove. 

City voters were also asked about First Lady Chirlane McCray.

Forty-three percent of those surveyed approve of her job performance.

Twenty-eight percent disapprove.

McCray has said she's thinking about running for public office once the mayor's term ends in 2021.

However, she has not said what position she is considering.

The mayor, meantime, hosted a town hall meeting in Queens Wednesday night.

Jackson Heights residents voiced concerns about subway service, dual language education and immigration.

One woman spoke about her husband, who was recently deported. 

“My situation right now is very difficult. My husband was supporting for me. He was providing for rent for food for everything. Right now I will be going to the streets," said the woman.

“Even if our national government is doing the wrong thing the City of New York is going to stand by you," De Blasio responded.

More than two thirds of the district is made up of people born outside the U.S.
