A former NYPD officer gets more than 14 years behind bars for his role in a Queens extortion plot.

Besnik LLakatura was convicted on two counts of extortion conspiracy and one count of brandishing a firearm.

Prosecutors say he was part of a violent Albanian crew that targeted small businesses in Astoria.

At the time, he was assigned to the 120th precinct on Staten Island.

He was suspended without pay following his 2013 arrest and fired after pleading guilty two years later.
