Going by the latest Siena College poll, Governor Cuomo shouldn't be too worried any potential election opponents.

The survey of nearly 800 registered voters found he would beat actor Cynthia Nixon, 66 to 19 percent if she ran. This poll was released before Nixon officially declared her candidacy on Monday.

The poll found that Cuomo also leads the Republican nominees — Dutchess County Executive Marc Molinaro, by 28 points, and State Senator John DeFrancisco, by 29.

When it comes to the governor's gun reform proposals, 90 percent of voters support his recent plan to extend background checks for gun purchases up to 10 days.

The governor's favorability rating fell to 52 percent, but the survey says those numbers haven't changed much from last month.
