After weeks of waiting, Albany Medical College students joined friends and family to find out where they will begin their careers.

Soon-to-be doctors came together for Match Day, where they popped balloons that contained one of their top residency program choices.

"Three weeks of kind of pent up emotion and finally we all open at the same time and we kind of get that relief. Wherever we end up, I think everyone is pretty happy right now," said medical student Robert Shaw.

"This absolutely incredible. We were all so nervous for so long and getting this piece of paper is indescribable," said Nidah Khakoo.

Students are set to graduate in May and will begin their residency programs in July.
