A New Jersey man has admitted to plotting to set off a pressure cooker bomb in New York City on behalf of the Islamic State Group.

Gregory Lepsky, 20, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Federal Court in Trenton.

Lepsky was arrested by Point Pleasant police last month for an undisclosed incident at his home.

After his arrest, police searched his bedroom and found the pressure cooker in a closet.

They also found evidence on his computer that he planned to build and detonate a bomb.

Lepsky will be sentenced in June.
