It may only be February, but trees and flowers are already blooming across eastern North Carolina. That, of course, is thanks to our record warm temperatures this week.

Friday will be the third day in a row for Wilmington to either tie or break a record high. Some locations in eastern North Carolina will not be as warm though. A cold front that has moved into northeastern North Carolina will keep highs in the 60s along the Outer Banks.

Most all of eastern North Carolina will see highs well into the 70s to around 80 for Saturday and Sunday. Wilmington will again be very close to tying or breaking a record high both days.

Most of this weekend will be dry.  However, there is a slight chance for a few isolated showers Saturday afternoon.  A few showers will also be possible late Sunday and again Monday.
