SAN ANTONIO — Only one San Antonio restaurant can call itself one of the best new restaurants in Texas.

Texas Monthly magazine awarded Range a spot on its list of "Best New Restaurants in Texas." This is chef Jason Dady’s first steakhouse concept, designed to be a combination of steak, seafood and field dishes.

Range opened in downtown in September 2017.

The magazine cites the Range’s blueberry muffins and wagyu shabu-shabu, thin-sliced beef and cotton candy as some of the restaurants highlights.

This isn’t the first accolade Dady has received. San Antonio Magazine gave Range the title “Best Steak” and “Best Tableside Preparation” for its. Caesar Salad. The magazine also named Dady as Best Chef Representing SA’s Culinary Scene.

Dady also appeared on Iron Chef Gauntlet in 2017.
