Even the most hardened Western New Yorkers were shaking off the winter blues after Tuesday's quick glimpse of spring. By early Tuesday afternoon, we were in the mid to high 60s, shattering the previous record of 64 degrees set in 1955.

"We have a couple of records going down. Not only the daily record high temperature, but also the record for the high minimum temperature. There's only been one day in recorded history where Buffalo did not drop below 50 degrees. This is going to be that second day," said Spectrum News Meteorologist Dan Russell.

And even though Western New Yorkers say they're thankful for this warm up, however brief it may be, they are still a bit nervous about what the rest of the winter may have to offer. But there is good news.

"We are going to see temperatures drop down to more seasonable temperatures, highs in the mid to upper 30s here on Thursday, which is actually still above average for this time of year. But we're expecting 40s and even 50s to return this weekend. I do expect maybe one or two winter storms in the month of March," said Russell.
