Most of North Carolina saw a cloudy and cool day on Tuesday.

Through the rest of the night, we'll see these same conditions and that will set us up for clouds and chilly temperatures through the rest of the night.  Along with the clouds, a few areas may see a few sprinkles or light showers.

On Wednesday, we will start a warming trend. With southerly winds across the state, temperatures will rise to above average levels by Wednesday afternoon.  With those milder temperatures, areas from the Triangle, north, may see a few spotty showers.

With a little more sunshine is expected on Thursday, daytime highs should be even warmer. We'll continue to see this warming trend through the end of the workweek.
