BRUNSWICK COUNTY, N.C. – A man was killed in a motorcycle crash over the weekend in Brunswick County.

The State Highway Patrol says 44-year-old Douglas Barker crashed on Old Town Creek Road near Leland Saturday night.

Troopers say Barker ran through an intersection, left the road and was ejected from his motorcycle before hitting a tree.         

He was taken to the hospital where he died Sunday.         

No one else was hurt in the crash.
