A Lantern Flower Market took over Brooklyn Borough Hall in honor of the Chinese New Year.

Borough President Eric Adams and the Sino America New York Brooklyn Archway Association, hosted the event Saturday to kick off celebrations.

The event featured traditional Chinese dances, including a lion dance and Bian Lian, an ancient art form from China where dancers quickly change their colored masks.

"Today we have a celebration in Brooklyn Borough Hall Plaza because we want to have more people to join our Chinese culture and share the happiness."

2018 marks the year of the dog on the Chinese zodiac calendar.
