I hope you got out to enjoy Friday’s sunshine, that may end up being the last mostly sunny day we see for a long time, maybe even through next week.

Rain will arrive in central North Carolina early Saturday morning before sunrise. Saturday morning's showers will be moving to the north or northeast and should move out of the area by late morning or midday. Expect a lull in the rain activity during the afternoon. The showers will return Saturday evening with rain expected on-and-off through the rest of the weekend and into Monday with one to two inches of rain from early Saturday through Monday.

At least we have warm weather with this weekend’s rain, we’ll warm into the 60s Saturday. Highs in the low 70s are possible Sunday. Not a lot of sunshine for the work week ahead as occasional showers are forecast almost every day.
