AUSTIN, Texas – Whether you are scrambling to get a gift for that special someone or spending the day treating yourself, here is a guide to Valentine’s Day in Austin.

Free Pop-Up Weddings: Tie the knot for free this Valentine’s Day at the Loot Showroom and Warehouse from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Loot Rentals is offering couples a chance to save some money as they will provide everything you need; from vintage wedding dresses to custom floral bouquets.

Date Night Climb: Climb into your date’s heart at the Date Night event at the Crux Climbing Center. Starting at 5 p.m. $20 covers the cost of two climbers.   

Anti-Valentine’s Day Party: Don’t drown in your sorrows, instead join other broken hearts at Gourdough’s Anti-Valentine’s Day Party. From 8 to 10 p.m. The restaurant will offer $5 broken heart cocktails, $5 nutty Valentine donuts, heart-shaped piñata and countless break-up jams.

Valentine’s Gay: If you are looking to dance the night away check out the free event Valentine’s Gay at the Volstead Lounge. The event kicks off at 10 p.m., and organizers say “you don’t have to be gay to attend, but you might be gay when you leave.”

Love Stinks: You could win a $20 bar tab at trivia at the Volstead Lounge. Trivia includes love-themed movies from "Say Anything" to "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," "High Fidelity," and "500 Days of Summer."

The Princess Bride: “As you wish.” Watch the magical tale of a farm boy who falls in love with a fair maiden named Buttercup. The movie starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Mueller Alamo Drafthouse.

The Unlovable Valentines: Avoid the nauseating hearts and teddy bears while celebrating being single at The Smiths-inspired event Unlovable at the CU29 Cocktail Bar. There will also be an open mic from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s: Enjoy a night under the stars will watching the classic movie about the New York socialite Holly Golightly. "Breakfast at Tiffany’s" will be playing at the Vulcan Video South drive-in movie theater.

Tom Petty Valentine’s Day tribute: Don’t let Valentine’s Day break your heart. Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers tributes will be performed at Hotel Vegas in addition to tributes to the Talking Heads and the Bee Gees.  

Romantic Four Course Meal: Dine of four courses from legendary chefs for Valentine’s Day at the Cru Wine Bar downtown. The signature dishes will feature recipes from Wolfgang Puck, Julia Child, and Lacques Pepin. The meals are a fixed price at $55.
