We saw bands of showers that moved across the region Wednesday with even some isolated lightning and thunder.

As the rain ends overnight cooler and drier air will move in for Thursday.

Thursday will begin with some cloudiness, but mostly sunny skies should be with us by lunch time. Temperatures will drop to the upper 30s and low 40s by Thursday morning. Afternoon temperatures will only warm highs to around 50.

Another dry day is expected for Friday as afternoon highs moderate a bit.

It's expected to be even warmer into the weekend, but rain is likely both Saturday and Sunday. As of now we are expecting around one to two inches of rain by the time the weekend is over.
