ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. -- All morning, and well into the afternoon, the snow was coming down in Rowan County.

The wet and fluffy accumulation may be great for some and mean a day off from school. For others, the winter weather can make life much more difficult.

The Salisbury Police Department said a homeless man was found dead under a bridge on Statesville Boulevard on Monday.

Rowan Helping Ministries Executive Director Kyna Grubb says it’s an unfortunate situation that could have been prevented.
