NEW YORK - Prosecutors say the man who set off a bomb in Chelsea has been trying to corrupt other inmates in prison.

They told a judge that Ahmad Khan Rahimi shared speeches by Osama bin Laden at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Lower Manhattan.

His sentencing is scheduled for February 13.

Prosecutors said he deserves the mandatory life in prison as required by his conviction.

Thirty people were injured when a bomb Rahimi planted went off on 23rd Street between sixth and seventh avenues.

He was arrested days later after a shootout with police.

His lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
