A man and his teenage daughter are dead after a fire in a Bronx apartment building Sunday afternoon, the city police department said.

It happened at the Throgs Neck Houses on Dewey Ave. near Swinton Ave. around 12:13 p.m.

Investigators said first responders found Yolanda Rojas, 13, and Nelson Rojas, 62, unconscious in a fourth-floor apartment in the seven-story building.

The teenager and her father were transported to a local hospital, police said, where they were pronounced dead.

The Medical Examiner will determine their exact cause of death.

The cause of the fire, which the FDNY got under control in about an hour, is under investigation.
