SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Police are investigating an incident after multiple people were stabbed on city's Northside early Monday morning.

Police were called to Cougars Bar on Butternut Street around 2:30 a.m. to a report of a large fight that occurred inside the bar.

Officers were advised that several people had been stabbed, with some already leaving the bar.

At the scene, they found a 36-year-old male suffering from stab wounds to his abdomen area. He was sent to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

After further investigation, officers were told that seven additional victims were arriving at multiple hospitals seeking treatment for both stab wounds and head injuries.

All the victims who were injured were treated with no injuries that appeared to be life-threatening.

Detectives are currently investigating this incident. No arrests have been made at this time.
