WILMINGTON, N.C. -- Five people are behind bars in connection to the theft of $124,000 worth of medications, including some powerful opioids from the Express Care Pharmacy in Carteret County Tuesday.
Kaylie Miranda, Justin Miranda, Charles Willis III, Melton Guthrie and Cody Bell were taken into custody.
The drugs included morphine, adderall, amphetamines and fentanyl.
Authorities say some of them were found at two of the suspects' homes.
