The Greater Allen A.M.E Cathedral of New York celebrated its fourth annual "Christmas on Merrick" on Tuesday.

More than 1,000 people lined up hoping to get gift bags filled with toys, clothing and books.  

Organizers purchased most of the toys using donations from the congregation.
