AUSTIN, Texas - The Austin Police Department and the FBI are asking for the public’s help in identifying the man responsible for robbing a bank on Dec. 16.

Police said the robbery took place about 1 p.m. at the Austin Telco Credit Union located in the 13800 block of N. U.S. Highway 183 service road northbound.

The bank robber passed a note to a teller demanding money. The man then fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He was last seen walking westbound from the bank. There were no injuries reported.

The man responsible was described as white, between 25 and 30 years old, about 6 feet tall and between 150 and 160 pounds with a thin build. The man had a short goatee and has reddish-brown hair or may have been wearing a wig.  

The man was wearing a brown sport coat, maroon button-up shirt, a brown hat, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
