SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Marshall Square Mall has reopend after reports of a "suspicious" package. 

Police were asking the public to avoid the area during the initial investigation. 

Both Syracuse Police and the Syracuse University Department of Public Safety were at the scene investigating what they called "an incident."

No other information has been released about the cause of the shutdown, but Spectrum News will have more information as soon as it becomes available.
