A man was arrested and charged Thursday night in connection to the fatal shooting of an 80-year-old deli owner in Brooklyn.

Investigators say Mark Thomas, 41, shot Abdulla Yafaee around 6:28 p.m. Tuesday at the 797 Deli Grocery on Stanley Ave. in East New York.

They say he threatened Yafaee earlier in the day after coming up 50 cents short for a beer.

The victim was described as a nice, quiet man who never had a problem with anyone.

Thomas has been charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Nearly four years ago, there was another killing at that same deli.

Hisham Zidan, 55, was found by a customer in the basement with blunt force trauma to the head.
