SAN ANTONIO - A holiday tradition continues. The Texas Cavaliers spent some time with kids at the Children's Hospital of San Antonio.

The kids lined up to meet them and they got to take a few books back to their rooms. The Cavaliers donated more than a thousand books and large boxes full of other gear, like strollers, bibs and diapers.

For the kids who couldn't make it out of their rooms for the announcement, the Cavaliers made their way around the hospital to spread some holiday cheer.

"They're here and it's under dire circumstances for the most part. So, if you can bring them five minutes of where they forget about whatever their illness may be, it's exciting. It's rewarding, and that's what life is all about, helping children," said Richard Sparr, King Antonio-elect XCVI.

Along with the books, the Cavaliers are also matching a $250,000 grant from the Will Smith Foundation. This year they will be donating $500,000 to the hospital.
