SAN ANTONIO — A 18-year-old man was stabbed during a robbery attempt on the southwest side.

The suspect, identified only as a man in his 30s at this time, entered the Dollar General on Southwest Military Drive and pretended to be browsing around 8:30 Monday night.

He then ran into the register area and demanded money from the employees. When the victim confronted him, he pulled an “unknown stabbing instrument” on the victim.

The suspect stabbed victim in the neck multiple times and then fled the location as the victim attempted to pursue him, police say.

The victim was treated by EMS at the scene, and was transported to SW General Hospital in stable condition.

Police searched the area, but the suspect was not located.
