AUSTIN, Texas — An Austin man has been arrested in connection to an aggravated sexual assault that occurred on Dec. 1.

According to police, William Fred Black, 43, contacted the victim through ad for services on the website, Backpage. He and the victim agreed to on the 12500 block of Waters Park Road in north Austin.

Black and the victim entered the backseat of the victim's vehicle but argued about payment. He pulled out a knife and a struggle ensued. Black gained control of the knife, was able to break the victim’s leg using his elbow and proceeded to sexually assault the victim.

After the assault the victim tried to take control of the knife but cut her hand. Black got out of the car and fled the scene and the victim locked herself in her car. She drove herself to her sister's home and was taken to South Austin Medical Center and police were notified. 

Police were able to track down Black through an ad he posted on Facebook for his lawn services. They set up a time and place to meet Black for what he thought was a response to his Facebook ad. At the meeeting, Black was taken into custody.

The victim is no longer in the hospital and is receiving care at home. Police say the victim will not face charges.
