After a bout of cold wet weather it will be nice to see the sun return to our skies.

Although we will see ample sunshine chilly weather stays with us. A push of cold air with a cold front overnight helped clear the skies and will keep Sunday afternoon temperatures more that tens degrees below normal. Expect highs to range from the low 40s inland to near 50 along the Outer Banks. A brisk north to northwest breeze will make it feel cooler than that.

Monday morning lows will range through the upper 20s to low 30s for a cold start to the work week, then we will see a nice warm, sunny afternoon as highs climb into the low to mid 50s. For Tuesday a few clouds with temperatures about the same.

Another strong push of cold air Tuesday night as a cold front sweeps across the state. Wednesday will be a cold day with highs from the upper 30s to low 40s.
