Light snow will break out between 8 to 9 a.m. and last into midday Saturday. Up to 1 inch of additional snow is expected with 2 inches at most in the heaviest snow bands.

As the snowstorm moves up the east coast and the sky clears for the Triad we will see clearing conditions Saturday night.

On Sunday it will be sunny, but very cold as a reinforcing shot of cold air moving in.

Look for the cold air to stick around for a while with highs not getting out of the 30s and 40s all week.

It will be dry though with no storms in the forecast for at least seven days.
