Spurred on by the #MeToo movement, New Yorkers gathered outside Trump International Hotel in Columbus Circle on Saturday to show solidarity with victims of sexual abuse.

Demonstrators said the #MeToo rally was aimed to give voice to countless people who suffer in silence.

Multiple women accused President Trump himself of sexual misconduct during his presidential campaign last year, after an "Access Hollywood" video showed Trump bragging about sexually assaulting women.

Trump initially apologized for what he said in the video but denied allegations of sexual assault.

The #MeToo movement started on social media after sexual assault allegations surfaced against Hollywood film producer Harvey Weinstein.

Since then, dozens of high-profile men have been accused of sexual misconduct, including Matt Lauer, Charlie Rose, Kevin Spacey, Louis C.K., Al Franken, Roy Moore, and John Conyers.
