AUSTIN, Texas -- With only two weeks left in open enrollment, several local organizations are working together to help get everyone enrolled.

"Insure Central Texas" is extending its hours seven days a week and encouraging anyone who needs coverage to come in and get enrolled for healthcare.

Organizers say plans and prices have changed a lot since the last open enrollment period. Experts suggest that even if people are happy with their current plan, it still may a good idea to browse other options.

"We've done all the research on those plans, we know the networks.  We understand the formularies.  We know how they work.  So, people can take advantage of our research and we'll walk them through to help them figure out which plan will work best for them,” said Elizabeth Colvin, of Foundation Communities.

Although the deadline isn't until Dec. 15, organizers urge people to come in as soon as possible. They say the process can take some time and they expect to be crowded in the days leading up to that deadline.
