Our skies will clear out just in time for a great view of the Moon.  This month’s full Moon, called the Full Cold Moon, falls within a day of its closest path to the Earth. The Moon will be only 222,443 miles from the Earth and should appear larger and brighter than normal especially as it rises near 5:30pm. The weather should cooperate as skies should be pretty much clear by then.

Mild weather will be with us as we head into the work week.  By Tuesday we could see highs in the low 70s in advance of a strong cold front that will cross eastern North Carolina on Wednesday.  We should see around one-half of an inch of rain, with locally heavier amounts possible.

Cold air will overspread the region behind the front and it looks like below normal temperatures will be with for a while.
