A Brooklyn man is convicted of murder for slitting his estranged wife's throat.

Prosecutors say in September 2016, 55-year-old Beresford Ashley followed his wife Karen Ashley as she left her job in East New York.

The District Attorney's office says when Karen pulled up to a friend's house; he got into the back seat of her car, stabbed her multiple times and slit her throat.

Prosecutors say Beresford turned himself in the next day.

His sentencing is scheduled for December 15.

He faces 25 years to life in prison.
