Brooklyn residents rally around their one, who they say was unfairly evicted from her Flatbush apartment.

The Flatbush Tenants Coalition said Joy Noel, 82, went away for a month earlier this year and came back to find someone else living in her East 21st Street home.

Carnegie Management, which owns the building, said Noel owes $75,000 in rent because the program that helped her rent expired in 2013.

Protestors accused the company of trying to de-regulate the building.

"We are letting those who feel that they in authority that we are looking at them and people are here to stop them," said Noel.

"We have no problem providing an apartment for her. As we speak, we can do it today but, we need to be assured that we're going to get paid for an apartment," said Jacob Friedman, Operations Manager for Carnegie Management.

The Tenants Coalition started a crowdfunding campaign to help Noel.

It has raised over $2,000.
