Clouds lingered across much of North Carolina on Tuesday.  These clouds combined with a cool air mass kept temperatures below average.

Through the night, cloud cover will decrease across the region.  With mostly clear skies developing, temperatures will drop into the 30s for overnight lows.  Sunshine finally returns to the forecast on Wednesday.  With the sun, we'll see milder but still below average daytime highs.  Computer models show a disturbance developing off the North Carolina coast.  This system may push some clouds into the eastern parts of the state by Wednesday afternoon.

We should see warmer, and near normal, temperatures on Thursday with mostly sunny skies.
