A Brooklyn museum is giving folks a behind the scenes look at what it takes to keep the city moving.

A new exhibit at the NYC Transit Museum highlights the work of MTA workers.

Specifically, how they prepare for and respond to disasters that affect the system.

Visitors can hear workers give accounts of what it was like during times of crisis such as 9/11 and Hurricane Sandy.

"We hope it'll kind of get you behind the scenes and understand all of what goes on in keeping the system running and planning for unexpected events," said Manager of Exhibitions Rob Delbango.

The exhibit runs until August 2018.
