NATIONWIDE – Nutella may not taste the same as you remember it.

The brand says it’s changing the recipe for its widely-loved chocolate hazelnut spread.

In a tweet they said, “Our recipe underwent a fine-tuning and continues to deliver the Nutella fans know and love with high quality ingredients.”

The recipe change was revealed by the Hamburg Consumer Protection Center last week, which said the proportion of skimmed milk powder had increased to 8.7 percent from 7.5 percent. The tweak had made the spread’s color lighter.

Ferrero, the Italian company that makes Nutella, declined to comment on the recipe change.
