Onondaga County lawmakers approved a $150,000 settlement for the family of Seth Collier, the 18-year-old who was killed by a former district attorney's office investigator this spring.

The settlement has been granted to Collier's mother.

Collier was hit by a county car driven by Peter Rauch, back in March.

Rauch pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of a fatal incident and vehicular manslaughter in the second-degree back in September.

He faces a maximum of 2 to 6 years in state prison.

As part of his deal, he will have to pay the family about $18,000 in restitution for medical and funeral expenses.
