NEW YORK - A bumpy ride already for those new flip-up seats on the L train.

A day after going into service, one was vandalized.

The MTA says there was an issue with one of its foldable benches, forcing the agency to pull it out of service.

It was apparently damaged by vandals.

The agency rolled out the new benches Tuesday to create more space during peak rush hours.

The train involved is now back in service.
