Drivers may see major gridlock near the Holland Tunnel after a fire last week damaged one of the ramps.

This is happening on the New Jersey side but depending how bad the traffic gets it could snarl up the Manhattan entrances to the tunnel too.

The Port Authority says three of five lanes will be closed during repairs.

On Friday night, the ramp suffered extensive structural damage from a fire.

The work is expected to cause delays in New Jersey and on local streets in Lower Manhattan leading to the tunnel entrance.

The Port Authority is urging you to take mass transit or alternate routes during rush hour.

There will also be additional PATH trains throughout the day.

More than 46,000 vehicles travel from the city to New Jersey through the Holland Tunnel every day.
