A teen armed with a machete was hit and injured by a police van in the Bronx Monday night.
Police say the teen was hit just before 11 p.m. at the corner of Grand Concourse and East Kingsbridge Road in Fordham Manor.
The teen was pinned under the police van, and then taken to the hospital for treatment of a hip injury.
He is expected to recover.
Police say the teen has not been formally charged with a crime, because he is still in the hospital.
It's unclear what happened just before the incident.
