Step aside Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts, there's a new coffee shop in Brooklyn.

Marine Park Coffee has opened its doors on Quentin Road near East 36th Street.

Owners say they noticed a real dearth of good places to get a cup of joe in South Brooklyn, especially locally roasted coffee.

According to them, the response from the neighborhood has been overwhelming.

"A lot of people, even when we were in the construction phase saw the awning and have been waiting patiently for several months, waiting for me to open my door so when I finally flung them open they just came flooding in," said Marine Park Coffee owner Jhonn Thomassen.

"It's easy, it's close by, it's like good, fresh, homemade coffee. So it's good that it's two blocks away," said one customer.

The shop is open six days a week.
