NATIONWIDE -- Pump prices are surging again as a result of Hurricane Harvey's impact.

The storm has damaged at least two major Gulf Coast pipelines, including one that delivers gasoline to New York.

According to AAA, the national average increased from $2.45 to $2.52 per gallon between Thursday and Friday.

The nationwide price for a gallon is now $2.64, according to the agency.

Around the same time last year, drivers were paying, on average, just $2.25.

Some gas stations in Texas and other states have run out of fuel as gas shortages leave drivers struggling to fill up.
