NEW YORK - Amazon appears to be in a New York state of mind.
Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced the tech giant will set up a brand new office inside the new Manhattan West development on 33rd Street and Tenth Avenue.
The company plans on creating 2,000 new jobs in high-paying fields like finance, marketing and sales.
Amazon says it will invest more than $50 million in creating a nearly 360,000 square-foot, energy-efficient space for its employees.
The company also says 1,800 jobs around the state will also be retained.
This comes just a couple weeks after Amazon announced it will build a warehouse in Bloomfield, Staten Island.
That project is expected to create more than 2,200 full-time jobs.
